Ok, cool. I'm always interested in learning new things, and considering the amount of Eastern Europeans around Ireland, I'm sure I'll be able to put it to good use eventually. How are we going to do this?

Well first I want to get 15 people, than we start from the basics. Kind like when you started preschool. So we will start from there. and my intentions hopefully every week move a grade level up. :P

While I still find that interesting, I was referring more to the medium. Will it be audio or textual? Will we do it with google hangout, or maybe skype, or just through PMs on DDO? Also, how long did it take you to learn Russian?

Already went and got it, so I can practice in my own time. The thing is, a computer program can't help you in ways that a person can, yet.

Yes, Yes indeed. It's actually on the top 5 hardest languages to learn. I learned English in 3 months. So I will try my best to teach it. I'm glad this is not verbal because I can't stand but laugh at the way people pronounce it. I can't help it. It's just when Americans try to pronounce the words they don't fit right. Your tongues cant twist the way mine and other languages do. So it's very difficult for Americans to learn. I'm not saying you can't it's just going to take more time. And never I mean never your google translate. That site it 50% wrong.

I've tried learning languages on CD without people before... the biggest factor is having somebody to regularly converse with. I'm not overly optimistic about a lot of ventures on DDO, but this one I could see working, mainly because you can always hop on and send out PMs to each other to practice. I'll give it a go.

I'm down, dunno how successful I will be though. Just to be sure, we won't be learning cyrrilic?

Thank you and no. Russian is simple to learn. I am excited to teach it. :P

Textual. PM's maybe latter on Google hangout. maybe um... 10 days, but not fluintley, I will actually stop there cauze i have to go to Australia for the summer.

I'm a little confused, could you clarify this please?

Well school gets out in 10 days. I go to Australia for the whole summer. So I have 10 days to teach it. I think you should PM and learn that way, because it would be faster. :P

Ok, are you confident you can teach russian to us in 10 days?

Yes I am. We have to start soon then. :P

Hold on, you learned to speak english in 3 months!? What are you!?

I'm 20 year old female that lives in Indiana and have a gift of languages.

How many languages do you know, and what is your birth language?

My birth language is Russian, I know English, Sign language, Spanish, and I'm learning German.

You qualify as a polyglot by most standards then.
