That blows people's minds. Any picture, video, story, article etc. If it didn't change your life, it isn't worth posting. I need my fix.

I don't think you understand the purpose of this thread... it's not to name interesting disciplines or mathematical concepts, it's about posting something that can be enjoyed right here. I gave an example. Posting some incredible video game or philosophical revelation? Acceptable. Referring us to some Wikipedia article on systems theory, with the implication that it would be life-changing if we were to study it? Not acceptable.

Ethan, life changing events aren't the kind of things I can post links to. I can post cool stuff that (at least I) find hellafukinawesome -to put it bluntly- but things that are really meaningful are a bit harder to come by.

I play Civ 5... and that's it.... and that only around the holidays. So, I'm not of much use there.

As for great philosophical stuff...

Use yer imagination. That Bertrand video was meh. To the right is a nicely mind blowing video series on the nature of dimensions. There's more than what I've posted... I think it goes up to ten.

Ask yourself, why is it that I can rattle off stories and videos that are genuinely astonishing and yet still haven't made a dent in my list, while you apparently can't think of anything similar whatsoever? I think that you must have a very boring life.

Eltan, are you judging what's life-changing and what isn't?

Honestly, different strokes for different folks. What's life-changing to you certainly isn't life-changing to others. And I can assure you that, even though many people found the ending interesting, that I'm one of the few people that can say BioShock and BioShock: Infinite's endings genuinely changed my life--maybe not drastically, but even now those games have stuck in my mind almost as fresh as when I first played them.

Hmm, how would you rate my material in terms of mindblowingness?

How I would rate what you like would be irrelevant, because it's what you like not what I like. At the very considerable risk of redundancy, what I think of what you think would be mind blowing is of no consequence.

Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.
