Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

I disagree. Having fun, having sex, being immersed in YouTube videos, watching tons of TV each make time appear to go by faster.

I was merely being sensational with a touch of sarcasm. Which is impossible to know by looking at a computer screen, I know.

Also, The question did ask whether or not the answers had to possess any degree of idiocy or lack thereof.

How are those any more idiotic than the stuff you just listed? Not that any of them should be considered idiot, just that you should at least be consistent.
