GATTACCA is the best movie i've seen
Epsilon: There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith.

So many... but "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" comes to mind immediately.

Lego movie.
But, I can't remember the few movies I've seen in the last year.

Kingdom of Heaven. My personal favorite from Ridley Scott, yes, beating out Alien, Bladerunner, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down imo.

Trust me. Just watch it. It's much better than Rotten Tomatoes would suggest.

I saw it when I was younger, but I love period piece movies. I'll recommend 12 Years a Slave to you for the same reason.

Silence of the Lambs, which I watched the day before yesterday. Yesterday, I watched Hannibal, which took a huge steaming sh*t on everything that made Silence great.

That's one I've been meaning to watch, just haven't gotten around to it yet lol. I've heard it's fantastic, so I'll probably watch it soon. Thanks for the recommendation! :)

I watched it on the same day. We must be, like, interconnected or something.

When it comes to recently released movies, I really liked 'The Counselor'. It was surreal, and brutally violent in parts, yet the writing was stunningly beautiful. It got very mixed reviews, and people seem to either hate it or love it. Cameron Diaz was surprisingly good as Malkina.
"The Collectivist experiment is thoroughly suited (in appearance at least) to the Capitalist society which it proposes to replace. It works with the existing machinery of Capitalism, talks and thinks in the existing terms of Capitalism, appeals to just those appetites which Capitalism has aroused, and ridicules as fantastic and unheard-of just those things in society the memory of which Capitalism has killed among men wherever the blight of it has spread."

It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. Thoughtful, funny, inventive and provocative. I highly recommend.

That's quite an endorsement. Just put it on my "to watch" list as #2, right after 12 years a slave.

Is it like Skype, where you can watch a full screen movie and see the other person in a smaller window at the same time? We should watch it this weekend!
