I've been watching it for years and it's become quite a bit of a problem. Sometimes, i take in large amounts and the images stick with me time to time. I watch it cuz it makes me forget about life's problems and relieves stress and feels good (it's a drug giving me a rush), but after the fun, i feel like crap and "zoned out." Rather have that than have sex. It's not real, so there's no point in watching it, but it can be addicting at times..

Just stop watching it. *shrugs*

Your options IMHO:
-Get yourself banned from the site that it's on?
-Stop watching TV and going on the internet altogether
-Show some self-restraint. If you watch it again, give yourself a punishment. e.g. You can't be on DDO for a week.

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

If you can immerse yourself so deeply in something that you can pretty much forget about masturbation, that works. Studies have shown that passions otherwise reduce testosterone levels over time. You're not a slave to sex, it's just something biologically very....um, pungent, I guess, and so it gets attention.

Also, I don't think trying to get yourself banned from porn sites is viable, lol.

Also here's a magic trick: erections disappear immediately when you light a cigarette. It's because they're both "instincts" by the ways, and wont share, but really it's more just time-killing and you're cycling through methods.

Porn isn't the biggest problem if you are single, just don't let it creep into your life when you do get a gf!
Beliefs in a nutshell:
- The Ends never justify the Means.
- Objectivity is secondary to subjectivity.
- The War on Drugs is the worst policy in the U.S.
- Most people worship technology as a religion.
- Computers will never become sentient.

Immerse yourself in a hobby that interests you, with preference to physical activities. Try to hangout with friends and family often and don't place yourself in situation where you will be tempted (such as being home alone and on the internet). Pornography does have psychologically damaging effects, particularly when it gets to the point of porn addiction. You may also benefit from searching ways to stop porn addiction on the internet. A lot of the time, addictions to pornography and masturbation can be caused by the lack of over all happiness in satisfaction in life so its important to keep a positive mindset and to work on creating for yourself a fulfilling lifestyle.

Anything that is a vise will seem overwhelming at the time that you desire it. As you are a Christian, I would advise that you place a picture of Jesus above your computer. That way you will be reminded at the time that this is an action that is against Christ's will for you. That, or whenever you desire something you want to fight against - say a prayer. Keep on praying until it passes. All addictions take time to pass, but once it does you'll wonder why you see it for what it is.

Yea, i can see that porn has very damaging effects as it's all false and can lead to problems in relationships and views on women. It can really screw up my mind and i have to resist using it as a way to escape life..

This is good advice. I remember when you were addicted to anime porn and I pulled you out of it by telling you to do exactly what is written above. Good thing I had, otherwise you'd still be watching hentai every night. Ha ha, you're welcome for the advice though!

In all seriousness, get a hobby or something. If you're not doing anything then you're more likely to watch porn than if you were learning a new language etc.

It's actually good for men to ejaculate a few times a week (As it's said to relieve stress) so moderation is key. Maybe try to go without it every other day for a week, then only once every 3 days, etc, Until you can't climb out of the hole. Don't become reliant on porn.

First of all, do you trust the Lord Jesus as your Savior? If you don't know Christ, then you cannot overcome this struggle. On John 15:5 (this is NOT the WHOLE verse), Jesus said, "without me ye can do nothing." I don't know if you are saved, but I tell you that one is not Christian just because he calls himself as one. You must receive Him!

If you're unsure about your salvation, then please do not waste any time wondering. Again, receive Him now!

Being saved is very simple. Salvation is by grace through faith alone. No good works can save you! It only takes a minute to explain how to be saved. Please check this website for the explanation: http://www.jesus-is-savior.com...

Now, if you are already saved, then you know that the Holy Spirit is there with you.
Ask God to deliver you from temptation. You must persistently pray and read the Scriptures in order to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit effectively (see Psalm 1:2-3).

Moreover, there is this software called X3Watch. It tracks the places you have browsed and reports any objectionable websites to someone else of your choosing. You would not be so tempted to watch porn when you know that you're being monitored by your friend, parent, pastor, etc.

Ask God to deliver you from temptation. You must persistently pray and read the Scriptures in order to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit effectively (see Psalm 1:2-3).
We don't need your religious preachings here. Go back to the religion section.

Moreover, there is this software called X3Watch. It tracks the places you have browsed and reports any objectionable websites to someone else of your choosing. You would not be so tempted to watch porn when you know that you're being monitored by your friend, parent, pastor, etc.
Now this is useful.

Porn isn't the biggest problem if you are single, just don't let it creep into your life when you do get a gf!
What if your gf is in on it? I hear porn can be a couples thing.

That method doesn't work. You sense the picture and feel ashamed as you do it, IE, can't get it up. So you just sit there sad jerking off your sterile dick while Jesus looks in shame.

It does seem interesting...

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

In essence, the world is fucked up and you can either ignore it, become cynical or bitter about it.

I haven't watched it in several months..hope i can keep it that way..

Anyone is pleased to post as they want. Anyways, not only was GOP's advice good from a Christian standpoint, but it also pertained to the OP seeing that he is a Christian. I do not appreciate this sort of backlash and it attempts to put yourself and your views above another user. It is up to the OP to sort out what kind of advice he thinks is helpful, not you.
