I'm trying to learn it using codecademy. I'm stuck at a specific lesson, where they are trying to get me to follow a simple command but I can't seem to get a hang of it.

I know I'm not supposed to use the for function, but i have no idea how to add these specifications to the if function. What am i doing wrong? i've been stuck at this chpter for 3 days .

I took an introductory programming course at school 2 years ago and I've forgotten most of what I learned, so I'm not very credible, but when I look at your code, your for statement looks kind of off. You didn't make a variable called "word" yet (I assume that's what your supposed to do).

You included the "word" variable within your for statement without creating the "word" variable to begin with.

I could just be talking nonsense. But that's what my intuition is telling me.

I heard of Python (I think I tried to learn it before but got bored with it :P), but I only know HTML, ja<x>vascript, and some C+++. Sorry. T_T

YES. very.

i was confused because they said that i should add the word to the if statement already made, i kept trying to define it inside the if function.

You were right, needed to define word before the if statement, and then print the defined word if the contingency of the if function was satisfied. Thanks!

It's not your views that divide us, it's what you think my views should be that divides us.

If you think I will give up my rights and forsake social etiquette to make you "FEEL" better you are sadly mistaken
