I used to read a lot when I was twelve, but I lost my reading habits when I grew older because of computer games and social stuff. Since my computer recently broke, I decided to start reading again and as part of my school's curriculum, I have to read A Separate Peace. After reading 2 chapters, it is not interesting to me and I pretty much just read the summary online.

Do I have to read other books that interest me before I read books that don't? Does reading books that interest me make me interested in books that I usualy have no interest on?

I am also planning to read War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy when summer vacation starts. I heard you need a lot of time, focus and a good reading habit to read and understand the novel, traits that I don't have, but trying to gain.

For those who read War and Peace, is it good?

I'm also planning to continue reading A song of Ice and Fire. I stopped somewhere, but I can't remember where. So I might as well read the whole series again.
