"The Collectivist experiment is thoroughly suited (in appearance at least) to the Capitalist society which it proposes to replace. It works with the existing machinery of Capitalism, talks and thinks in the existing terms of Capitalism, appeals to just those appetites which Capitalism has aroused, and ridicules as fantastic and unheard-of just those things in society the memory of which Capitalism has killed among men wherever the blight of it has spread."

I've never seen any Game of Thrones, despite everyone in my life insisting that I must. Even my mom watches it. I think I might binge watch it over the summer. It seems so political, though, and I'm wondering if that will detract from my enjoyment.

She doesn't and she doesn't want to, which is fine because we need to have some shows we watch apart. I could always talk about it with the dozens of other people in my life who watch it, though lol

Definitely. It's addicting. I read the books first, and I still got addicted, lol.

My brother read the books and said that he didn't enjoy the series as much after. What would you suggest I do first?

I read the books first, but I think that most people enjoy watching the series. The books are interesting because they include a lot of prophecy which is cut out of the series, so they're still good to read afterwards. The series is really deviating from the series at this point anyway.

Interesting. I hear good things about the books. Maybe I'll read them over the summer, then watch the show. Is the book series still going on?

Yeah, lol, but Tolstoy finishes books faster than GRRM.

Well, Shinning Armor and Princess Candence already got married, but they could do a Red Anniversary if that works. Though for the Honeymoon, he did throw his wife like a javelin at an evil shadow monster, if that counts for anything.

It's kinda scary. For some reason it reminds me of that M Night Shamalon film (the title escapes me) when the family is in a house and a group of killers break in and try to kill them. They all have matching masks and it's not the Purge.

You should see it, it's pretty good as far as adaptions go, and is only just starting to deviate in major ways.

It's deviating? That's intriguing. I wish Martin would just write faster >.> though his works are detailed masterpieces so I understand the time taken. I just don't want him to croak before he finishes the written portion of the story.
