So, to have my couch hauled away, it will cost $50. Ain't nobody got that kind of money lying around!!

I was thinking of hacking it up into manageable pieces and throwing it away with my trash. However, does anyone know if the material is toxic, and should be disposed of properly? Can you throw away cushions and the fabric?

I barely have more than two bags of trash in my bin (depends on how much meat is cooked to avoid the smell), so it can easily fit, and I'll just burn the wood in a fire, so the trash is really the cushions, fabric, and metal fasteners (staples, screws, etc.).
My work here is, finally, done.

I don't care about whether an ideology is "necessary" or not,
I care about how to solve problems,
which is what everyone else should also care about.

In essence, the world is fucked up and you can either ignore it, become cynical or bitter about it.

Put it up on craigslist, offer it for free.

Can you haul it yourself? Pretty sure you can drop it off yourself most places for free. Or you could just chuck it in a dumpster if you do it at night when no one is around and you dont mind being a dick lol.

I definitely would not burn the wood. The wood is probably treated or composite wood, which means burning it will release a bunch of dangerous chemicals for you and your neighbors to breathe. Its also probably illegal where you live. If you do decide to burn it (but dont) make sure you do it in the open air and not in a fireplace.

But yeah post "free if you pick up" on craigslist for a month, chances are some college kids will snag it.
