Goodbye, DDO

I'm sorry to say that I will be leaving, at least for the foreseeable future. It's not that I no longer see any value in DDO, or think things have deteriorated to a point that makes this decision easy for me. I've decided to leave because DDO is too distracting. I don't spend a ton of time here, but of the time I do spend, I feel like it's time that could be put toward more productive activities like reading and learning. I only have so much mental stamina and intellectual interest, and too much of it is going toward DDO. If I had more self-control, I would just limit the amount of time I spend here. But self-control is something I struggle with, so it seems the only solution is to leave altogether.

I'm very grateful to all the people who have made this site so hard to walk away from. DDO is a very unique place with many wonderful and intelligent people, and I'm glad I got the chance to be part of it.
