Do you think it's possible to refute you ontological argument for God's existence?

By refutation if we mean to say that it is possible to show that the Ontological Proof is impossible (as Kant did) I disagree. I believe it is possible to show Ontologial being so long as we separate Being and Essence and prove each individually.

This allows me to answer the second part of your question. Fundamentally, because we have to prove the Being and Essence individually, and because this Being and Essene cannot be comprehended as is (for it is transcendent) then we face the difficulty of showing that the Being we have proved is precisely related to the Essence we proved. Together their proof becomes impossible, separate very very difficult. This is also the refutation to my current Ontological argument. I'm researching this further, I'll let you know when I've uncovered more ground.

Preferred ontology of mind?

I suppose I don't have one right now. I don't like making opinions on things I have not thought about long enough, and I have not thought about this long enough.

Why Islam?

Due to a number of inductive arguments I believe in God. I also believe that morality, if it is to be true, cannot be understood as is. Most fundamentally I realize the internal clash of Instinct and Higher Consciousness. Religion is necessary to resolve this clash.

Simply put: Islam is the most logical and open-minded of all religions.

What do you think of religious inclusivism?

I support it. There are many things which are true of Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism. There are many fine principles of atheism and common law we can accept. Incidentally, the majority of Muslims are Hanafi, and Hanafis actually derive Islamic law from 'urf or culture or other religious law and customs. Though it is superseded by anything said in Islam, Muslims have an obligation to integrate various cultures AND religious practices of people.

Favorite members on the site?

This is a tough question, since I don't have many friends here. Dennis remained my best friend for a year before we had our differences. I still have a great deal of respect and love for him. I also really like whiteflame, and Wylted. Solon and I have had some nice conversations. Annie has been my oldest companion. I also like Angel (though I believe the feelings are not mutual). I also like Niam and Rebekah but we had extreme differences. Sargon, Blade-of-Truth, and Subutai are also members I enjoy speaking with.

I have met Shaun and Toviyah in real life and I love them to death. I also like zmike and Mikal. These are but a few names off of my head.

How many lives have to be at stake before it becomes morally permissible to kill a single innocent man to save them?

Nothing can justify taking an innocent's life without their consent. So if they are willing to sacrifice themselves (as they should) it is morally permissible. Otherwise all of humanity could die but it would still be wrong to kill them

That depends. I have had two umm instances. In the first we were both running and we bumped into each other and our lips touched. In the other we were wrestling and our lips touched.

I *have* kissed other boys on the cheek when I was younger, my parents etc. I have also kissed a boy on the cheek in a play.

There really isn't any statistic I can go by. We aren't as afraid by pedophilia, and we hug our nieces and nephews. On the street we may talk to kids, and the culture is one where hugs are very common.

It is regarded very badly though. Anyone thought of doing such is shunned by everyone, and in the past they have always been shot.

I think I may go gay (one experience, top) for a billion pounds. Otherwise if I was attracted to males, I would point it out, and analyze myself as to why this desire has formed (just as I analyze why heterosexuality has formed).

So in essence (aside from a joke) I do not think I would go gay for anyone, lest I was not in a rational state of mind.

I don't know political theory, so I cannot judge YYW's political theories or his votes on such debates. He may be an excellent voter, he may be the worst - I have no comment.

Regarding philosophy YYW seems to believe he knows a lot, when he knows very little. He confuses "innate" with "genetic" (he insisted they are the same thing). He misrepresents Heidegger Dasein-in-Care theory. He does not know formal logic, but he claims to know Kant and Hegel from Philosophy 101.

He lies. He accuses other members non-nonchalantly. I also dislike his arrogance and his general condescension towards others. His votes have now, multiple times, been put under review and have only based the criteria at the bare minimum.

In essence this, and past encounters has led me to have an immense dislike for this fellow. There are other things, but I don't wish to attack him or to rant. This is but one side of YYW, a side I believe is inspired by complexes and defense mechanisms. He *has* been kind to 1harder and other members when they were in mental distress, and I don't believe anyone is "evil". So there.

I mean just randomly *one hump* when they're standing. Nothing serious lol. Or like it they're sleeping going next to them and saying "hey baby". All a joke, really. Though there may be repressed desires or complexes which requires such a katharsis.

Hmm this is interesting and can have many various explanations. I will analyze this.

To your first question, I have not read Rand herself, so I don't know much about her philosophy. It seems as though as she believes a=a is substantive when as Kant and Wittgenstein believe it is just analytic, and not absolute in herself. The synthetic-analytic distinction seems to be one which Rand doesn't like, but as I said, I don't know much about your pseudo-philosopher.

As for the second one, you have to *apply* it to understand it better.
Suppose you say: Ajab exists.
The contradictory would be: Ajab does not exist.

If existence is a predicate then the second seems absurd because you're saying that a non-entity possess the predicative quality of being non-existent. Though something which does not exist cannot possess quality.

Secondly suppose I say: pink horses do not exist. This does not mean that there are unicorns which possess non existence and do not exist. Rather it is saying that there are no horses which are pink.

Being is, in itself, something, and cannot be reduced to a conception within another conception. In a simple way: being is not analytic, it is synthetic.
