So, I've always thought that the word was spelled "dilemna." I distinctly remember being taught that and I've always used it that way. But then today I was typing something and spellcheck auto-corrected it to "dilemma," and I was pretty shocked (I went to dictionary.com) to find that it's apparently spelled "dilemma." Idk...the double m just looks so wrong somehow. Anyone else experience this? Or is it just me?

Well, that certainly sounds like a "dilemma."

Apparently it may not be just you after all... My debate opponent has just cited this misspelling, so it may be pretty common.

Interesting. However, I do not have texting, so I don't think this is the reason why I seem to have a deliberate recollection of memorizing the word as "dilemna." I remember it this precisely because I had to remind myself that you don't pronounce the "n."
