I am staying in this year because I have felt sick all day, so I'll spend it with you guys. To hell with festivities. I don't even feel like opening a beer... maybe some nice tea a bit later though.

But, do not let my lack of enthusiasm dampen your evenings. I'm hoping that you all can raise my spirits. Tell me, DDO...

What are you doing to celebrate?

What are your resolutions?

I bet I'm less enthusiastic than you.

What are you doing to celebrate?

Nothing new.

What are your resolutions?

Eh. I'll probably refrain from sharing.

lol maybe... but I doubt it... I didn't sleep well last night, and I've been in that state of tired ambivalence all day long.

What are you doing to celebrate?

Nothing new.

Busting out lines of coke, then?

What are your resolutions?

Eh. I'll probably refrain from sharing.

I'd be curious to hear yours, but if you don't want to share that's fine.

Well I went to sleep at 8:00 (A.M.) and woke up at noon, and then got in a car at 2:00, and slept in the car for 6 hours - waking up once every hour for 5 or 10 minutes. I sleep better in cars than beds.

So really, I've only been up for about an hour and a half.

What are you doing to celebrate?

Nothing new.

Busting out lines of coke, then?

Totally.

What are your resolutions?

Eh. I'll probably refrain from sharing.

I'd be curious to hear yours, but if you don't want to share that's fine.

Ok.

Pizza I guess
What are your resolutions?
I guess to work out more.

Man, holidays get more and more depressing each year as you grow up. Last year I had the same resolution, and I did nothing to fulfill it. Up here in Seattle, it hardly snows, which makes for a boring theme for Christmas, not that man people were even participating in Halloween in my area. I hope that changes.

Damn...

The work that goes into getting that fit, and the dieting... it's intense stuff.... requires the kind of self discipline I just do not have. Very impressive.

I'm very comfortable with my non-muscular and physically inactive state.

lol no worries

While I wouldn't want it for myself, I recognize how much work goes into building a body like that... and I can respect that. Like anything else that requires labor, dedication and self discipline, the fact that he is where he is is pretty noteworthy.

Watching TV and staying on DDO. Loving that my parents aren't home (which is why I'm on DDO -- they don't know I'm on here).

What are your resolutions?

I'm resolving to wing it and see what happens.

Was going to go to a party...but my parents talked me into going to dinner with them. Then I will come home, and watch Netflix, and eat ice cream!

Just to be a better person than what I am.

I celebrated by spending three hours in the ER (in a hallway bed, might I add) with 10+ kidney stones and only minimal narcotics, but that was at least partially offset by amazing Chinese food.

As for resolutions.....

(a) Get my bloody thesis published.

(b) Learn some econometrics in pursuit of (a).

(c) Actually figure out and finalize what that bloody thesis is on.

(d) Survive my Math-filled schedule, and squeak by the de-facto IQ test of Real Analysis (which no econ PhD ever has actually used or will ever use).

It'll be a good year, though!

It'll be a good year.

To make your night better. Happy new years : )
