MACDONALDS! *not*

I don't think I have an 'exact' favourite--pretty much any restaurant that does Mediterranean food. There's also a restaurant in Spain (in the town of Javea) called 'Austriaco and Cafe Wien', it does very nice sweet things.

Depends on the type of food.

Rioja in Denver is quite good for a modern take on Spanish food. They use great olive oil, always a plus.

In Miami, Enriquetas easily has the best Cuban sandwich around. They smash croquetas into the sandwich; it's a revelation of what a sandwich could be.

I enjoy the above mentioned ^^ But I mainly like Greek restaurants...in addition to Jewish ones.

Love olive oil. Went to an olive oil farm and tried all the flavors. Olive oil and bread is hella good.

I have. I don't remember eating there, though, and if I have, it must not have been very memorable.

I haven't been to that many places in Spain compared with the US, but by far the best bar I've ever been to, ever in my life, was in Spain - in un pueblo, Torreperogil specifically - it was one euro for some locally produced wine, really fvcking good wine, and with that, you'd get literally a meal of a tapa - like the kind of tapa you pay a few euros for at other bars, free with every drink, and everytime a different tapa, always incredibly good. One time, they had caracoles, holy fvck so good. Unfortunately, forgot the name of the place. But it's a tiny a$$ town, so it might be the only bar in the whole place - either way, fvcking worth checking out.

Yeah, olive oil is amazing. I'm partially obsessed, drink way too much olive oil, with bread is great, too. Not sure what you mean by all the flavors, though. Different olive varieties?

Cuban bread. Covered in lard. It's fvcking good, trust me. If you ever go to Miami, you need to stop here.

Mm, that sounds nice. I haven't visited Torreperogil but Andalucia does have wonderful restaurants. And the Valencia region has some great places too (Alicante is a nice city for food.) Drinks are also pretty cheap--and with very generous measurements. If you're solely into wine though...they're very cheaply priced like at the restaurant you visited and really nice tasting.

I drove through the Valencia region on my way to Alicante, actually, and yea, that's a great city. I had some of the best seafood I ever had there.

Oh cool...it is indeed a beautiful city.

Did you visit or hear of a place called Benidorm? A lot of people travelling to Valencia go there; it's no where near as cultured as Alicante though.

I haven't been there, but I'm going back to Spain from May until October, so I'll definitely check it out. Is there any restaurants/bars you recommend there? Or anything else you recommend generally?
