What are your favorite Star Trek series in order and why?

I have yet to see Star Trek: ENT, so I will leave that out.

1. Star Trek: DS9 - it had the richest interpersonal relationships and a compelling storyline. It did not rely on any single character to carry the series, because Quark-Odo, Odo-Kira, Sisko-Dukat, O'brien-Bashir, Bashir-Garak, Garak-Kira, Garak-Dukat, etc. All of these relationships were interesting unto themselves, and together, they made for a complex and wonderful series.

2. Star Trek: TNG - DATA <3! Also, PICARD <3 Besides those two characters, while I liked everyone individually, they were just not as interesting. So much of the series focused just on those two characters, mostly Picard, and the richness of the narrative web just wasn't as "there" as in DS9. The inter-character drama just wasn't there; even Worf was more interesting in DS9. However, I will say that the Borg made for the best villains of any of the series.

3. Star Trek: TAS - This was surprisingly well done. I loved the old-fashioned animation, and the plot lines were solid. I honestly did not expect this to be the little gem that it was, and the use of animations allowed it to do things that couldn't be done it TOS--no dogs with cones on their heads impersonating aliens.

4. Star Trek: TOS - SPOCK <3! This had some great characters individually, namely Kirk and Spock...DeForest Kelly was also very good. But, beyond those three, there was no development of any other characters. I know that the focus on one or two lead cast members was typical of the era, but it still doesn't sit well with me. Furthermore, there was just some things that were too cheesy. Some of the cheesiness was awesome (#yay4tribbles) but so much of it was just bad (Spock's Brain) that it dragged the series down as a whole. And, while I get the technical challenges people faced, things like Spock's Brain were issues with writing (and searching for gimmicks) not due to technical limitations. But, it was a revolutionary series, nonetheless...just not my favorite.

5. Star Trek: VOY - This just sucked on so many levels. B'Elanna was a b!tch. Paris did not fit the dashing young officer he was supposed to be playing. Harry was just kind of there. Chakotay phoned in his performance. Tuvok was boring and robotic. Janeway was a mediocre Kirk-wannabe, and Kess was a new age hippie that didn't belong. The ONLY people in that series that were good were the Doctor and 7 of 9. Neelix was okay, but still not "good." This whole series was a classic case of a great premise with lots of creative freedom ruined by poor casting and bad writing. That said, it did have it's great moments, like Tuvix.

No idea. It's kind of scary.

3. What's your favourite holiday?

Halloween.

4. How do you feel about the harmonica?

It's okay, I suppose. Not a huge fan.

5. How do you feel about Downton Abbey?

Never seen it.

6. What's your favourite debate that you've participated in?

My debate with whiteflame [http://www.debate.org...]

7. If you were to debate me, what would you want to debate me on?

That would depend on your areas of interest. Political topics tend to interest me more lately.

8. How would you feel about debating Sargon?

I don't think we could agree on a topic. I don't understand 99% of what he talks about.

9. Do you consider yourself fair?

Yes.

10. If you met somebody just like you, do you think you would like him?

No.

11. Do you think Airmax would make a good king?

Yes.

I read your post about not seeking a re-election. Is there anything that would make you reconsider?

I'm asking because I don't really know you but you seem like a principled person, who takes your responsibilities serious, and really tries to represent users who are here to learn to debate better, who avoid interacting with drama ( which I am guilty of as of lately, even though I'd prefer to debate) This site shouldn't be about the users who are most apparent on forums, it should be about debaters, and you seem to rep. those users. Just my opinion, cuz I pay attention to detail, and wanted you to know how I view you so far.

I have to say, while they're sometimes annoying (especially in groups), I like kids (and not in a pedo way). I really like being around them, mainly because they're just so entertaining, and their imaginations are just so wild and random. That, and they're fearless. A majority of kids literally have no regard for humiliating themselves, and it's awesome (in relation to me staying my inner-child self). I guess without really meaning to, I find myself doing the same :3

Asumming you've listened to it, thoughts specifically on Soviet Kitsch?

I haven't yet, unfortunately. Though "Us" is a great song.

I rest my case :)

1. What do you view as your strongest political or social views?

The importance of redistribution to correct poverty, gun control, gay rights, and stopping torture.

2. What has convinced you that Bernie Sanders is better than Hillary Clinton?

Besides his accent, I would attribute it to his authenticity. But I would still happily support Clinton.

3. What ethical framework do you view as the correct one? Why?

I don't. My beliefs span a hodgepodge of different systems (care ethics, utilitarianism, deontology, etc.) and so I cannot really specify.

4. Do you believe the existence of God has any relevance to our lives?

Not really.

5. Why is Scientology your "most hated" religion?

Because it was literally created to fleece people. Every level of "education" costs more money. Anyone who honestly believes that Earth was once called Teegeeack should seek out a mental health professional.

6. What is your opinion on anti-theism?

Define that as it compares to atheism.

7. Do you think ensuring food security is feasible in developed countries, such as the U.S.?

Yes.

8. What is your view on hate speech? Should there be restrictions on it? How would you define it?

Yes, insofar as hate speech incites racial violence. But merely expressing a bigoted viewpoint should not be illegal.

9. Honest opinion of me?

Will answer in a bit.

10. How do you think I can improve my debating skills?

As the adage goes, practice makes perfect.

11. Why are you against abortion?

Why shouldn't I be?

I read your post about not seeking a re-election. Is there anything that would make you reconsider?

I would reconsider only if my deal with Wylted failed for some reason.

I appreciate that.

The belief that religion in general is a net harm to society regardless of whether God exists.

You were pro-abortion and then changed your stance. What were your reasons?
