Do you believe that different people have different triggers when it comes to social anxiety? like for example eating in public, or meeting your girlfriends parents, or starting a new job.

"Marked and disproportionate fear consistently triggered by exposure to potential social scrutiny. Exposure to the trigger leads to intense anxiety about being evaluated negatively. Trigger situations are avoided or else endured with intense anxiety. Symptoms persist for at least 6 months. Associated with avoidant personality disorder."

So yes, it's in the definition.
