I stabbed my palm with a pencil so hard once that the pencil was stuck entirely and wouldn't move at all, and I had to pull it out by force (make a joke, I dare you).

It wasn't intentional though.

I've thought about it before and come close to doing it, but I turned away from it.

Yes, I listened to Yoko Ono once.
Don't let this site's demise affect you:

- Make an account on eDeb8
- Message Mikal to transfer your stats to eDeb8 (if you want them transferred)
- Contact any friends on here you'd like to stay in contact with
- Download any debates you'd like archived (go here: http://webpagetopdf.com...)
- Download as many mafia games as you can to preserve stats and history

Does slamming my head on the desk because I missed one of the final 10 circles in a long osu map count?

I cut myself with a knife really deep, and my hand became all bloody because of that.

No, but in highschool I dated a girl who was a "cutter". She stopped about 1 month into the relationship though because I was honest with her about my feelings. I told her that it hurt me to see her hurting herself, and that if she truly loved me she'd stop hurting me. When we broke up after a year or so, she didn't start again - which was good. Hasn't been an issue since (we're still friends and stay in touch), and I've yet to have another experience with someone who does that.

Does having a job where you could be killed at any moment and liking it count?

I had a similar experience. I had a female friend who cut herself. We had a falling out but we're ok now. Don't know if she stopped or not.

I used to play with my scissors and playfully cut my arm back when I was in elementary. I don't know why I did it. Probably because I was bored.

Marble and granite cutter. I move 1200# slabs that can break at any moment without warning when transporting them from the yard to the saw. And then there is the saw which can cut your arm off or crush your skull if you aren't paying attention.

Here is a video of the dumbest human being on the planet standing directly in front of a slab being laid completely wrong onto a cutting table. If that slab broke it would instantly cut that guys legs off.https://www.youtube.com...

Reminds me back in the day when loading combine headers in back of truck. You lift them up with a hook and chain attached to the header as a truck backs up.

I would tell guys all the time to not get any body part under the header because you are playing with your life thinking the chain would never fail. Sure enough one chain broke when a guy had his foot under the header. He got lucky. Lucky enough that when I brought him to a hospital and they told us it was a mental health facility, he was able to laugh. He was all screams when that 2 ton header was on his foot until we got it off.

I did that job during summers from when I was 17 to 21 and saw one person killed and two other incidences that could have easily ended in death.

In those conditions nobody thinks they are going to get injured. There is a rush when in a dangerous situations. It does beget the question on whether extreme risky thrill seekers have any of the same mechanisms as those who self harm.
