You probably want some sources supporting the opposite side and/or some fairly unbiased sources.

Then again, I'm just a freshman, so what do I know?

What's the exact prompt you have for the paper? "Capitalism vs. Socialism" is pretty vague--there's tons of different interpretations of each. Capitalism could mean "no government intervention, and completely free markets", or "the government plays a role in that it ensures fair competition". Socialism could be Marxist, or it could be the extremely mild (but excellent) brand of Bernie Sanders.

"Free-market" is still a bit vague, but I suppose I should have been more specific--what are the actual parameters of the paper? What have you been assigned to do?

Did your teacher ever give you any hand-outs explaining what you're actually supposed to do for the essay as a whole? Is it an argumentative essay?

You're welcome.

Thanks, but I'd much rather prefer to answer the following questions in paragraph form:
1. After reading and briefly researching the following three Presidential Farewell Addresses (Washington, Dwight Eisenhower, and George W Bush), undertake a Point View Analysis for each.

2. Identify and explain the APUSH Concepts that the address discusses

3. Briefly compare and contrast each one

I have literally no motivation to write it, and can barely be bothered to read the farewell addresses... Help me ;_;

Well, I think part of Washington's farewell address is in the song, so . . . that might be slightly helpful.

In my experience, if you force yourself to work on it for 5 minutes, you'll be slightly more motivated to continue. Generally, getting started is the hardest part.

But look who's talking. I haven't even started my biology homework yet.

Sounds like my life.
You could go to one of your parents and say "hey. I need to do this. Don't let me not so it." And then they'll force you to do it and you'll be done.
Maybe. It depends on what your parents are like, and what you're like.

It's not even November, and I'm finding myself with no motivation to do homework if it looks like there's a lot to do, or something that takes more than one or two things to figure out. I just realized I have a test tomorrow, but looking at the stuff it's telling me to study, I feel like just closing my laptop and winging it...

Same.
I mean, I generally do well in tests, even if I wing it, but still. It's kind of a problem.
I do parts of assignments and then quit, thinking, "well, screw it, I'll just have to do well enough on the test to bring my grade up." And then I don't study for tests.
And that, my friends, is how to fail Biology.
