I learned more about the Julian calendar than I ever needed to know.

But it's over! Kind of. I have to do some other stuff with it later, but for now, the paper is complete! Yay!

Sure! You want a basic idea or some random facts?

Why the question mark?

Not sure how people are supposed to respond to/discuss this

I'm just gonna go with random facts.
1.The first Roman calendar had 10 months. They were named Martius, Aprilis, Maius, and Junius, Quintilis, Sextilis, September, October, November, and December. Later, the months January and February were added to the beginning of the year, which is why the month called September (literally translating to "seventh month") is actually the ninth month of the year.
2.The months of the calendar used to alternate in lengths of 30 and 31 days, except February had 29 (30 on leap years), but when Quintilis (August) was named after Augustus Caesar, he took a day from February and inserted it in August, just because he wanted a longer month.
3. In the Gregorian calendar (which is what we use today), we don't actually have a leap year every 4 years. If the year is a multiple of 100, the leap year is skipped that year. But if it's a multiple of 400, there's still a leap year.

So . . . now you know three more useless facts.
