It was great, but I didn't dedicate enough to it to really appreciate it. There's a lot of subtle satire woven in that you might miss while reading.

Haven't read it, but the movie was awesome. If you watched the movie, is anything lost in the translation?

Never saw the movie, but the book was OK. There was just some anniversary that went past last year; NPR wouldn't shut up about it.

Actually this is one of the few books where the movie was as good as the book. Gregory Peck does an incredible job as Atticus Finch, and it's definitely worth watching more than once.

Well, it's definitely a top 10 book of mine. Of course, I DID play Jem in a run of the stage version, so I really had to analyze and appreciate the plot more than one would on a one-read-through. So yeah. I suppose that's why I have such a strong proclivity toward the book.

I completely agree. That was probably the only movie I have seen that does slightly better than the book.

Its one of my favourite books. I think I like it so much because its told through the eyes and voice of an innocent young girl. Gives you a different perspective on things.
