This is a question about morals so I put it in the philosophy section.

Fox news recently revealed not only the name of a Navy seal who wrote a book about the Bin Laden raid (wrote it under a different name to protect his identity) but they also revealed where this man lived.

Now Al-Qaeda has put this man on a hit list (which would be expected if anyone from seal team 6 was revealed) which begs my question,

Is it moral for Fox News to reveal the name and location of a man whose identity was kept secret for his own protection, just because they wanted a good story?

This doesn't seem like much of a question, the answer is NO. Ratings at the cost of human life shows a terrible lack of compassion.
