Just something I would like to discuss. In my opinion morals are non existent in todays world. What does everyone else think?

What is your definition of the word "morals"?

It doesn't matter what his definition is, it has its own definition that stands.

Morality:
1. Principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.
2. Behavior as it is affected by the observation of these principles.

As long as there are things that are considered generally right or wrong, there is morality.
I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and all your demons.
I'll be the one to protect you from
A will to survive and a voice of reason.
I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and your choices, son.

Geez. Well, people tend to report these qualities in themeselves more often than they don't. In other words, when measured, only about 4% of the population rank as sociopaths.

Plus, it's hard to imagine a society existing with memberes devoid of these qualities. Children would just start dying of hunger, for example, because no one would care to feed them.

Seems unlikely to be the case.

But it is natural for a parent to care for their young, and nature is about as objective as you can get.

Very few people have ever been moral.

We are always already moral. The capacity and imminence of moral evaluation is inherent to what it means to be human.

Everyone has their own definition, so it is relevent to the thread to understand what the OP is talking about.

I have consideration for the thoughts and feelings of others.

Morals aren't necessarily good.

I think that morals are sometimes a barrier to self happiness. You made this a very broad topic because everyone's morals are different. Do people not physically show that they have morals anymore, or are people lacking the ideals and traits that you would personally consider moral?

Define "others". Would a pet qualify? Or any other object that one has an emotional attachment to?
