... often they are warranted in the sense that one ought to support their claims or premises as far as they can be.

But other times it seems that some claims are just "up for grabs" in the sense that either you see its truth or you don't, or you see its falsehood; in which case it's on you to mount an objection for why it's false - which doesn't just entail complaining about the claim as an assertion without further support.

I can't "further support" the claim that "tossing babies and catching them with bayonets for fun is wrong" ... or I can, but ultimately the support for the claim doesn't require more support, either you see its truth or you don't, or you see its falsehood; in which case it's on you to mount an objection for why it's false.
