An infinite amount of my Reaper friends are all assigned at a uniform interval from 1-2pm tomorrow to kill you.

I am tasked with your destruction at 1:30p, another at 1:15p, and so on...

At 2:01pm tomorrow, what will be your status?

I'll be petting Shrodinger's cat.

You are dead, you are also dead at 1.01 am.

It's much like the archilles and the hare paradox. The answer converges on. 1.00 am, and the grim reaper that kills you is the first one that arrives.

If there is an infinite set of Reapers, all assigned uniformly within that hour interval, why think there is no Reaper before the first one which arrives? Wouldn't there be an infinite amount of Reapers before him, and so on?

Hawthorne takes the route that the mereological sum of reapers is what axes you. You're dead immediately after 1:00. I'm not sure if that works, but I'm also not sure if the Grim Reaper paradox - really a version of Bernadete's paradox of the gods - shows anything of any real metaphysical import.

I imagine there are probably some worries here about overdetermination with fully sufficient causes, but that's a worry not unique to infinite cases - one can easily construct thought experiments where it occurs in the finite case just as well.
