What is the reason of people liking to watch nude pictures of people. It's kind of disgusting and rude to me.

Mostly pictures. Real nudity, it depends. But, still, I find it weird and disgusting that people like to look at naked people.

Well you must realize that in some cultures there's no such thing as nudity because people are nude in normal situations. It's simply a cultural effect that you're experiencing.

Do you plan on having a typical lovelife as you become an adult?

People have bodies, and with bodies come animal desires, and that includes the desire to have sex. If you find it disgusting, then that's good for you, since you've overcome the desires, but you can't expect everyone to have done that yet - we live in a society that is far from perfect.

I'm not talking about when you have sex. I'm talking about, pretty much, "porn." Of course I don't want a boring love life. But, you still haven't answered the question. Why do people like watching pictures of naked people a.k.a "porn?"

I'm not sure I understand the difference between seeing somebody naked when you have sex with them versus seeing them naked when you're not having sex with them. Do you like the way naked human bodies look?

You ask me why people like porn, and my only answer is "why wouldn't you?" I understand having a moral qualm with it, that's fine and you should, but I don't understand seeing, for example, the picture of a beautiful naked woman and not being able to appreciate the aesthetic value of it.

Is there anything wrong with that...? A sedentary society is always superior to a nomadic one, a society with writing is superior to one without, a society that wears clothes is superior to one that doesn't.

Someone who advances society this way is always respected and revered, and it is them whose names go down in history. 'Guan Zhong acted as prime minister to the duke Huan, made him leader of all the princes, and united and rectified the whole kingdom. Down to the present day, the people enjoy the gifts which he conferred. But for Guan Zhong, we should now be wearing our hair unbound, and the lappets of our coats buttoning on the left side. Will you require from him the small fidelity of common men and common women, who would commit suicide in a stream or ditch, no one knowing anything about them?' (Analects 14.18)

Seeing this thread makes me think of when I was a teenager and wasn't as comfortable with nudity and the like. After dating in my twenties and having some freaky girlfriends to break me in, I'm a much different person. If I told my teenage self some of the things I would do in the bedroom today, I probably wouldn't believe myself LOL

Superior in what way? Americans are the most "civilized" society in history, yet we cause more damage to more people and things than any other society in history. We pollute, murder, extort, and drain every type of resource we can get our hands on. Our people are weak and probably couldn't survive being left in the wild for several days, because we have frail bodies, no survival skills, and we are addicted to so many luxuries and medications. How exactly are we "superior?"

Since when were Americans the most civilised society in history? American society and Western society in general are imbalanced. They are highly developed in the field of reason, hence the rapid technological advancements, etc. However, they have not advanced in terms of morality, and have not sufficiently applied and extended humans' innate virtuous nature. They still believe in the man-nature dichotomy (hence the environmental destruction), do not teach their people sufficiently (hence rape and murder), do not cultivate their own virtues and regulate their families before turning to ruling (e.g. Bill Clinton), conquer with force instead of morality (e.g. George W Bush's Iraq War)...

It is funny you should consider me a religious zealot because I am against religion. I guess I shouldn't have quoted out of context though. I know I often cite examples without sufficient elaboration; it's a weakness of mine I wis to improve. Anyway, Guan Zhong is a guy who didn't commit suicide when it was morally virtuous to do so. A student of Confucius asked Confucius if that meant Guan Zhong was unvirtuous. Confucius replied that 'But for Guan Zhong, we should now be wearing our hair unbound, and the lappets of our coats buttoning on the left side.' He was not bound by moral restrictions of common men and women since he had a more important duty: to advance civilisation. This is sure indication of that cultural superiority does exist, for if it didn't, the people who catalysed these progressive changes would not be as revered.

In fact, the imbalance I mentioned above is the very reason people enjoy porn, IMO. 'The desires should not be indulged.' (Book of Rites 1.2) 'He who aims to be a man of complete virtue in his food does not seek to gratify his appetite, nor in his dwelling place does he seek the appliances of ease.' (Analects 1.14) Once we've satisfied our basic needs, we should look for more than that what our animal instincts desire. (Yin Haiguang, The Meaning of Life)

Unfortunately, while technology has advanced at an ever-increasing rate, morality is progressing at a much slower rate. Benevolence, righteousness, propriety and wisdom have not been extended sufficiently, leading to a myriad social problems. As our hearts are undeveloped, many people will continue to indulge in bodily animal desires. This includes over-eating, pursuing luxuries, and, like the OP has mentioned, watching porn. These problems can only be solved by developing our innate virtues, and this goal can only be achieved through education.

Nudity stimulates sexual arousal, which feels good when satisfied.

Hormones.

Not that I condone the use of pornography, but it's perfectly normal to have a sex drive.

I think there are several reasons. One is that we humans are wired to be attracted to certain natural shapes, usually those associated with the opposite sex. This subject has been studied and is an established phenomena. Also, people like to watch other people, whether they are clothed or not. New York City did a study some years ago in an effort to learn how to create more "people-friendly" architectural spaces at the base of those huge buildings. And what they discovered was that human being overwhelmingly choose to hang out in spaces that allow them to watch the other people there and the people passing by. We like to observe each other, a lot, clothed or unclothed.

It's because that's what they've told themselves they like. A lot of people think that it's something natural, but it isn't. We all remember when we thought girls were icky, don't we (for the lads here)? A person can grow to love, and become sexually arouse by, pretty much anything - especially if it relates to survival. There's always a rationality behind it. A person says to themself "This is what good surviving is". Think Stockholm syndrome.

I personally like nudity, because for me it is a sign that the person undressing has a connection to you. (Or at least in my case that's what it would mean.) I see cloths as a covering for their, for lack of a better word, innocence. If anyone is unwilling to undress for you they either feel nothing for you, don't feel that way about you, or may not feel that confident in themselves. (Or, like me, way too young to be nude in front of someone.) If they feel nothing for me and they're willing to be nude in front of me, then all they really want is the D. (Sorry for the informality.) If they don't feel that way about me, but are willing to be nude in front of me then I'm seriously confused by their motives. If they're not confident in themselves then I won't ever rush them to do anything with me, because they will more than likely regret something during what ever we may be doing. If they do have strong feelings for me and are willing to show, in my opinion, their purest form, as they truly are to me then it is truly meaningful to me because it's a huge thing to be willing to that either at my request or on their own accord. I wouldn't use enjoy to describe this because it's a lot more than that to me.

What is the reason of people liking to watch nude pictures of people. It's kind of disgusting and rude to me.

Do you dislike real nudity too? Or just pictures?

Mostly pictures. Real nudity, it depends. But, still, I find it weird and disgusting that people like to look at naked people.

Well you must realize that in some cultures there's no such thing as nudity because people are nude in normal situations. It's simply a cultural effect that you're experiencing.

Do you plan on having a typical lovelife as you become an adult?

I'm not talking about when you have sex. I'm talking about, pretty much, "porn." Of course I don't want a boring love life. But, you still haven't answered the question. Why do people like watching pictures of naked people a.k.a "porn?"

Umm, are you asexual ?
Porn babes be distracting me. Dudes be stealing me stuff. I'm all about the cash from now. I'm not playing Jesus anymore.
