Post your favourite quote below.

Name the quote and the person whom spoke the words.

If you can name some fun facts about the quote or the context and situation it was said in. That would help understand the quote much better.

I find the more obscure the better.

Sometimes truth can be a shinning glimmer of which we embrace ourselves in and anoint ourselves in the truth of fire and light.

I have found a liking to historical quote's which could only have been done in a certain time, place and in a certain context that makes them very intriguing.

For example Winston Churchill wrote "History will be kind to me for I intend to write it". For anyone else to say that would be insignificant but for Churchill to say it gave that quote real meaning.

That's good. It's John 3:36 in the Bible. John the apostle was quoting John the Baptist here. John the Baptist later had his head served on a platter at the request of King Herod's wife (Herod the Tetrarch, King of the Jews under the Roman Empire) because he told Herod it was not lawful to be married to her as she was his sister-in-law before she married him. Jewish law forbid this immorality.

John the Batpist did not hold back from speaking the truth. He was fearless, Jesus said there was never a greater man than John the Baptist.
