The argument basically goes like this... Neo couldn't have the power to sense or stop the sentinels, nor would Smith have the power to manifest as a person, were it not.

Do you buy it?

I've thought about that too. Maybe Smith became so powerful he could form in the real world? If it is another level, then it's the ultimate inception!

No.
While I haven't quite been able to explain the feeling the machines for Neo, Smith invading someone's mind makes sense to me.
If the matrix is all about the mind, then think of Smith's presence as a hyponosis.

No.

1. If Neo's still in the Matrix, he wouldn't lose his powers at all.
2. If by escaping the Matrix they are still in it, then that means they can't escape. Why go through the trouble of creating Zion at all?
