What we perceive and dream can be captured and viewed by others.

What would this mean philosophically? Wouldn't this mean qualia isn't private? What you perceive only seems to be your own subjective experience because we didn't have the right equipment. What would this mean for dualism and idealism?

They aren't directly capturing the mental images though. They are taking the neurons that correspond to the conscious experience and doing a reconstruction. This is like saying that if I make a movie of my dream that my dream isn't private... Of course it it, it is just a reconstruction...

Sounds like something that will be used only in the medical and scientific fields for now... I would love to have my dreams "recorded" with an MRI scanner.

deems dont tell you anything if u master your self.. Dreams are just a portal into our sub conscious a way to pass time , A way to understand our selves better and deepers. My dreams are boring now I know everything about my self. Besides who i will end up with etc. Dreams are just there to release chemical and stuff so you relax while u sleep etc. What happens is if your brain is to active or u eat something it will cause a reaction Up there and those are outliers Like for example if we have scary dreams focused on a movie that our brain recalling it etc.. Some of its influenced by your outside surrounds b4 u go to bed and what u were thinking about etc
