How does the phenomenon of deja vu influence our concept of induction?

It is (logically) possible that every experience of consistency that we have is really an experience of deja vu. This would extend the problem of induction: not only is there no way to know that things will continue going the way that they have been, there's also no way to know that things have been before as they are now, other than a subjective feeling which may be a hallucination.

I mean, it's not like we only rely on our subjective intuition to remember the past. In many cases, we have objective evidence to go along with it. I think the more interesting possibility to consider is whether the universe began only moments ago, along with all of our memories and confirming evidence, which don't correspond to anything that actually happened.

It's an idea, but not an very intesting or original one. It turns out that its perfectly possible that the universe is a few seconds old. Any difficulties that raises is trivially solved by suposing the difficulty was created at the same time, just to add to the illusion.

And that's all that one can say about it.
