The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but mankind cannot stay in the cradle forever.
Konstantin Tsiolkovsky

We were supposed to have the stars; be a mature civilization. Adults, capable of behaving responsibly even now that we know that there isn't some sick abusive son-of-bitch god out there keeping tabs on us. Instead what did we become, but roaches running from new, angry gods of our own devising?
From Killer, an Eclipse Phase story based on Death Note.

So? Obviously we're not immortal. (Well, on second thought... Telomeres...)

We were "supposed" to? On what basis?

Hmm... Well, who says we were suppose to have it? Who says we weren't?

I don't really think it matters. If you believe in God like I do, then you'd think if we were meant to go live in space, we would, and if we weren't, God would cause us not to.

And if you're an athiest, chances are you PROBABLY believe in other life out there (I have no opinion). Who says that they weren't suppose to rule outer space? Were we suppose to share?

I just say we keep advancing and let it be what it is.
"And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." Jesus in Luke 11:9-10
