Which is better Love or Hate?
Ohh Lord How you love me, you change my heart and soul, renewing my mind into something I could never imagine, You make me strong when I am weak, you encourage me when I'm despaired, You stick by me when everyone deserts me, You are my Lord You are my God.

Charles: I'm not a Christian because I'm afraid of hell, I'm a Christian because I love Jesus.

Geolaureate: The Pope
He looks like a Sith lord, I don't trust him.

Charles0103: Just like my God, my faith won't change.

The hate of love. Think about it love, if it fails leads to heartbreak which in turn leads to misery and hate. So to counteract this potential side effect hate love then love shall never happen and yo will not have to go through the pains that love rings to begin with. See my logic.

I think of this a a frame-of-mind question as opposed to one that actually makes sense.

I say love.

Why would I compare chemical reactions to see which one is "better"? Until you've given an actual situation, I cannot answer which one is more beneficial.

Neither. I'm not sure I "hate" anyone, but I certainly hate things that certain people do, or stand for. For instance, when the OP makes almost any statement, I usually hate it. I love my family and friends, and basically I love being alive. All of this is subjective, and in my opinion there is no pecking order.

Love is always superior to hate.

How so? They are both merely a rush of chemicals to the brain.

Not always, circumstantial...But I guess the effects of the chemical to your body can be comparable objectively.

When is "love" or "hate" NOT a chemical reaction?

But I guess the effects of the chemical to your body can be comparable objectively.

Not at all. Each person reacts to a situation differently -- and even if they have the same release of chemicals, the potency can also differ.

If hate did not exist then the world would be a better place no murder, rape, suicide, stealing, or cursing each other. Love is better but not the romantic kind of love i mean Peace,Compassion, trust and such, Hate my young Padawans will lead you to the darkside. lol

Circumstantial to the magnitude and duration of the chemicals.

But I guess the effects of the chemical to your body can be comparable objectively.

Not at all. Each person reacts to a situation differently -- and even if they have the same release of chemicals, the potency can also differ.

I meant individually, equal potency, etc. I said "can"

I'm speaking of the chemical composition which makes up "love". Now, we can talk about the philosophical interpretation of "love", but I think that's complete BS. Hence the focus on the chemical reaction.

It depends on the perspective in which you are assessing it. I focus on the chemical reactions which make up emotions since I usually find the philosophical interpretations to be useless and void of any meaning whatsoever. <shrugs>
