Why would I vote for a buffoon rich man? He is not a career politician. That is it. I have no justifiable means other than that. How do others feel about this person?

I'm a Brit so I don't know him so well, but from what I do know of him, he makes me want to be sick.

Donald Trump wants to start a trade war with China.

I was an intelligent businessman like Doug Casey or Jim Rogers would run for president.

What's wrong with that? Everyone is trying to make a living including those with a political career.

They are getting paid to affect government policy in a good way. (Im not saying they necessarily do that though, many are just fail.)

That is it. I have no justifiable means other than that. How do others feel about this person?

That's the worst reason ever. Hey, how about we vote for Jessica Simpson she's not a career politician either.

Why do you ignore the fact that Trump supports the birther issue and he supports a healthcare plan worse than Obamacare.

Doug Casey running for president--now that would be interesting. Just imagine the media's reaction--same views as Ron Paul, except he's openly an anarchist, and is an expatriate investor/speculator, rather than a Congressman and former doctor. They'd have a field day with some of the things he's said ("Well, a rational man, which is to say, an ethical man, would almost certainly not vote in this election, or in any other").

You forgot that he's also currently working on purchasing a small, third world country so he can create an anarcho-capitalist utopia.

Really? Awesome. I've been looking for somewhere to go when the US goes to hell. Hope he finishes that up soon.

He is a politician. As far as I'm concerned, being a "politician" is more of a mindset than it is a job description.

Yes he is but not a career one. I am actually surprised about the responses. Mindset maybe but some are able to put that mindset in a salary.

You would vote for him because he is not a career politician... That is a sad thing to hear. He is a career entrepreneur. Exactly how is it a check on power if one man controls both the public and private sectors?

My state was just bought out by entrepreneurs who blew the roof off of spending records. Elections come down to money a little too often if you ask me...
