I'm going to be doing an interview with an AnCap on this site and wanted to know some questions that others have for AnCaps. Please simply post your question(s). Note that this is not meant to be an argumentative thread. It simply serves the purpose of finding out what others would like to know about AnCap.

I'll try that I guess though an anarcho-capitalist society does not preclude that kind of action.

Serious questions: How do you envision the functionality of polycentric law? How would one be granted the right to be an arbiter? How would you resolve conflicting jurisdictions? And how how would you prevent profit motive from skewing arbitration?

How do you correct people with a monopoly on force and arbitration? Ask Hitler nicely to please stop killing Jews?

at worse you still have people that are wrong so you arent worse than when you started.

So you can't claim any advantages from statism. K.

I'm not arguing, I'm trolling, hence the reason why I haven't answered CiRrK's serious question.

Not that I'm pro-government, but one observation I find convenient is that if you ever cite problems with anarchy, people respond "Oh like that doesn't happen already?" For instance when you mention problems with bribing police in private institutions, people will point out that this already happens even with the State (police are bribed). Similarly, it's misleading to suggest that with private police there would be no abuses. Hitler rose to power because his ideas were popular and he had a lot of support. If his army was bigger than the opposition, then he would carry out things exactly as he did. It's irresponsible to pretend that just because you can have competition that competition would always work in favor of what's right or good. I'm still not convinced that it's even more likely. In fact I think in some cases it's even less likely.

Unregulated capitalism: such as in 20th century America, Chile during Augusto Pinochet's ruling, and New Zealand's Experiment all seem to show the disastrous effects of deregulated capitalism. Namely a huge gap between the rich and poor, and bad living conditions for the poor. The poor were actually worse of in Chile after the "Chicago Boys" economic policies then under socialism. In America and Europe, with a mixed economy, it seems as if there is a stronger middle class, and people are better off.

Do the historic examples I gave above disprove that unregulated capitalism doesn't work or am I missing something?

For God's sake read the first post of the thread.

From now on, following CiRrk's format so Merda can tell the questions from the blathering and find them quickly.

Example:

Question: Is an acceptable question an intelligent interrogative statement written out with correct spelling and grammar?

Yes. Yes it is.

This, by contrast, is not acceptable:

Why is tyranny of the rich morally or practically superior to tyranny of the majority?

I also have questions pertaining to homesteading, but I'll try to be more specific l8r.

There is no such thing as unregulation. The regulation of capitalism is the deregulation of the state.

I still didn't feel like my question was answered adequately.

Hasn't history shown the problems with deregulated capitalism?

The state has always existed, but sometimes it plays a more active role in the economy and sometimes its passive. Any extreme of both appears to cause problems. Can all the problems with capitalism really be traced back to the state?

Question: What should the purpose of a business be in society?

A.) To fill the needs of the society?

B.) To make as much individual profit as possible, regardless of society's needs?

C.) To accumulate power and wealth, in order to influence or control society.

D.) None of the above.
