Would have had a tough time at the Founding too.

Huckabee would've had a good shot as a Democrat in the 70s.
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

I think it's pretty well common knowledge that Reagan would not come off as a typical conservative in this day and age. Huckabee's just saying what most have already known for some time.

Since 1968, the U.S. national debt accelerated fastest under President Ronald Reagan until President Obama claimed this distinction (sure, a president is not solely responsible for the nation's deficit, but he does sign the budget into law). People like to glorify Reagan for some reason.
