So the 2nd chapter of the 4 chapter Wisconsin recall book is unfolding today. The 6 Rebuplican Senators are going through their general recall election. Next week 2 Democrat Senators are going through theirs.

Anyone care to venture a guess on how this may turn out? Or what it may imply?

I suppose that is one lesson that could be taken away from this (though that still depends on how the recall ends up). But even if everything goes the democrats' way, and they take all 6 seats, don't lose any next week, and take Scott's governor seat away, they are still massively hurt because the Republican's got the redistricting done for 2012 and that is now set (for the next 10 years, I believe).

I personally think that districting should not be up to politicans, since they make it political (go figure).

The Wisconsin recalls close this section with the Republicans holding 4 of the 6 seats.

These 6 elections shattered spending records for elections in Wisconsin. Last year's state elections (a total of 116 seats) only spent a total of $19.5, while these 6 have topped $40 million (only $30 million by registered special interest groups, but it is estimated that around $13 million by undisclosed sources was also spent).

The democrats still have 2 seats to defend next week.
