Is there a point to this post? If there is it would be nice for you share it with us.

Does it really matter what the point is?

Are you serious? Yes it matters what the point is. If there is no point then there is no reason to post a new forum topic. Any other questions I can help you with?

Actually, rather then worrying what the point of the thread is; you could answer the person who made the thread without know what the point of the thread is.

For example.. Conservative is better because it treats everyone fairly, and progressivism puts more taxes on the rich which is obviously unfair.

See, I didn't worry about the point.

He likes to make threads and watch people discuss the topic. He never seems to make arguments for some reason.

Starting discussions is fine, but trying to start one without contributing any thoughts is a little different. If anyone else wanted to start the discussion they would have started the thread them self. It's almost like suggesting that we all want to discuss your topic but we needed you to start it for us.

I'm not talking about policy... I mean underlying philosophies

Left Wing refers to Reformists
Right Wing refers to Traditionalists

Progressives are Reformists, (Traditional) Conservatives are Traditionalists (also called Toryism in the UK)

Collectivism is Fascism
Individualism is (classic) Liberalism

Modern Liberals are Social Liberals
Modern Conservatives are Liberal Conservatives
Libertarians are Classic Liberals

Social Liberals combine Classic Liberalism and Progressivism
Liberal Conservatives combine Classic Liberalism and Traditional Conservatism

Right Wing Fascism is Nationalism
Left Wing Fascism is Socialism

Nationalism is the doctrine that your national culture and interests are superior to any other. Nationalists tend to favor Unitary states.

Socialism is a political theory advocating state ownership of industry
Communism is a a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership

Libertarianism can be divided into Left and Right wing groups.

Right Wing Libertarianism is Classic Liberalism
Left Wing Libertarianism is Anarchism
