It is an online flash game in which the player is presented with the current budget and is left with the responsibility of balancing it.

It provides a multitude of options (but somewhat limiting at the same time) in budgeting these following areas: defense, education, housing, health care, infrastructure, social security, taxes, national debt, and other.

It provides many facts and statistics, giving you the pros and cons of each decision you make. And it will teach some that managing the budget is not a simple problem to solve.

Of course, most people go for the medals. I tried to develop the best budget to deal with the nation's problems and shrink the debt, though.

*looks at the test results, sees a moderate reduction in the debt*

*notices-- no wonder it was moderate, there weren't any cards that instantly eliminated the majority of government agencies*

)
It came to be at its height. It was commanded to command. It was a capital before its first stone was laid. It was a monument to the spirit of man.

I reduced the debt to 25.1% of the GDP, pushed the bust back past 2070 and made use energy independent, more secure and wealthier. Where do I sign up to run for office?

Agree with Ragnar. There is no "Eliminate FDA, EPA, Income Tax, and healthcare spending" button.

With only the options given:
"You reduced the debt from 64.8% of GDP... to 36.4% of GDP [in ten years]".
I ended the budget bust.
I shrank the size of government by 2.1% of GDP.

Does it apply Reaganomics of lowering taxes to increase revenue?
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

Well, without that, it could very easily be impossible.

You don't need to cut healthcare spending to downsize, at least not in the game.

But it was essential to making the budget as it would "If I were in charge".
