Those are three different topics dude.

Yes but they fit under the "should the Government be allowed to sacrifice personal freedom for security" argument, and I only wanted 8 debate topics so we could have 16 debaters. I didn't want more.

A debate resolution is a statement that is supported or opposed. None of the topics are resolutions. Depending on what the resolution is in each case, I might be Pro or Con.

For example, "All drugs should legal." would legalize antibiotics, which carries a great pubic harm by fostering antibiotic resistant infections. Is Pro on "war" advocating "Wars should be fought whenever possible." or what?

So say what the resolutions are, and identify what the libertarian side is.

I'd like to debate Ron Paul's policy that effectively establishes a free market in nuclear weapons. I don't know where that fits, if at all.

Believe that'd fall under the "counterterrorism" heading, if anything in that list.

I'd love to see that debate as well, so even if it doesn't fit, make up a debate for it Ron-Paul.

Well Ron Paul's foreign policy isn't one of the topic (dang it though. That was a great debate topic. I can't add anything though. I'll remember that next time). Might I suggest being pro on the death penalty topic or con on voluntary euthanasia. Is one of these topics okay? Do you agree with the resolutions there? They are pretty straight forward with those ones.

Latest News: Ron Paul's non-interventionalist topics fit under debate topic 7 since they wonder whether the US has the right or responsibility to do what those wars are doing.

Well Libertarians do not believe in much of a state or country, so they think that respect for a country is having respect for authority, which they shun. Being pro on patriotism means you believe in having respect for a state or country, and being con on patriotism means you don't believe in having any respect for a state or country becuase that would mean having respect for authority.

That sounds a lot more like anarchism, not libertarianism. After all, libertarianism (as I understand it) is about the integrity of individual rights, but sensible enough to work within the framework of a collective entity which can safeguard said rights in an objective manner. That to me would imply respect for "authority," so long as the authority respects the individual's rights.

In other words.... I find fault with the debate topic. Seems anarchist, not libertarian.
