The UK Labour Party could have been called Democratic Socialist at one time. They are now only a certain breed of social democrats. And they do not solely have control of the country. Forget to mention how they have failed, as well.

Didn't Marx say democracy inevitably lead to socialism or something along those lines?

Democratic Socialism as a Government is flawed, but Democratic Socialist programs implemented by a Democratic or similar form of Government are generally quite good.

Right wing in the cultural sense perhaps. The notion that they've been governed by right-wingers in the economic sense we think of on this website is laughable. "Right wing" economically in Europe is to the left of MSNBC.

Stupid and I would say it is an epic fail but the USSR beat it's failure's epicness.

The debt is still asploding. Anyway, Freedos statement made it sound like he thought labour was part of the coalition.

Democratic Socialism is horrible. It's wrecks havoc on the economy, through the implementation of socialist policies, in a capitalist economy. It is oppressive, just like all other forms of socialism (not including anarcho-socialism, which is more so a form of anarchy, than a form of socialism), because socialism is left wing fascism, whereas nationalism is right wing fascism.

True. After all, labor still has the threat of taking back control if anything substantial is done.

Democratic socialism is a proven failure. The biggest experiment was India, after independence. The result was poverty and famines. With the introduction of capitalism India began to make progress.

Many of the newly independent countries of Africa, starting in the 60s, tried democratic socialism. All failed. There were attempts in South America, again uniform failure. Socialism, democratic or authoritarian, always brings poverty. Capitalism, even in an otherwise authoritarian regime (Taiwan, S. Korea) brings prosperity.

If the free market does not allocate resources, then a government mechanism must do so. There cannot be independent votes on how many pencil sharpeners to produce. Not only is it impractical to make millions of decisions by popular vote, most people would have no idea of what to choose. That means that socialism always has a ruling elite with a large bureaucracy. Bureaucrats avoid risk, so innovation is brought to a halt. Socialist countries don't invent iphones. Hence, guaranteed economic failure.

Odd how you claim GDP expanding by over 50% as "stagnation" Must be because you have no clue what you are talking about. I'd ask you to name some of those polices and explain how they deter growth but I realize that you are not smart enough to do so.

Those right wing governments have been in charge for around half a decade and a decade and Europe is having a worse recession then the one in the 30's how you can think that having a recession is "cleaning the mess" is beyond reason

They aren't implementing pure right-wing policies. In Denmark for instance, the right-wing government cannot shrink the massive welfare state because it is part of the Danish culture for many, many years. And every time there's a leftist government (like now), more and more socialist policies are draining the state money, and every policy is proven to be a gigantic failure. Once a right-wing government is elected again, its main job will unfortunately be to clean up the mess that has been left by the leftist government. Fact, period. The same applies to any other country ran by socialist policies. Literally all of them fall into shame.
