I though this was cool.
http://www.3pc.net...

It matches you to the party that you agree the most with and shows your compatability with each party.

I was basically tied for the Greens (69%) and the "Natural Law Party" (62%), which should be defunct by now. I also have Libertarian and Democrats tied at 54%, and the rest are below 40%.

I'm not a fan of this, to be honest. It ties you with the Greens and Natural Law, but fails to recognize that both of those parties are one-issue and wacko. In fact, they don't even mention any major environmental policies on there that the Greens live for.

The Greens are for plenty of regulatory economic and socialist policies in addition to their "green"ness. They are also "progressive" as well. There's more to the greens than the environment.

I don't dispute that, but I wouldn't vote for them because of their environmental policies, plus some others. It is a very, very big factor.

I wouldn't say I'm no-where, I'm obviously "socially progressive" in the very least.

It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

Interesting. You're a mix between the libertarians and the paleo conservatives.

Test 2:

My #1 is: Paleo-libertarian
My #2 is: Conservative
My #3 is: Paleoconservative

My #5 is: Libertarian
My #6 is: Neoconservative
My #7 is: Left-libertarian

Not a surprise to see you a paleo-libertarian, given the above.

It is surprising to see you so far from mongeese.

1) Libertarian Party: 76%
2) Republican Party: 59%
3) Reform Party: 59%
4) Constitution Party: 59%
5) Natural Law Party : 35%
6) Green Party: 35%
7) Democratic Party: 18%

I wasn't too sure on a few, so my answers were far from definitive.

It makes me seem much more conservative than I am -- but overall, I think it's close, though. Lower all the ones at 59% but a decent amount, and then we're in business.

Republican=Neoconservative.

Your using relative terminology. Keep in mind that you are ONLY 59% Republican and disagree with them on almost half the issues.

It seems that most people here are libertarian...

It's strange that when I took the first test wjmelements has on his profile, it deemed me authoritarian, but the second one called me libertarian.

Are you some sort of Anarcho-communist?

No. I didn't even know what that was until I just looked it up, and the ideas I'm reading don't really intrigue me, for the most part. Some of them are actually laughable.

I don't necessarily want to abolish capitalism. I don't want some kind of socialism or the like, either (that's for sure)...I suppose there's a happy-medium I'd like to find.

I don't like voluntary associations at all, the concept of workers' council sounds inane to me, and the idea of a gift economy made me laugh. A lot. It sounds like something thought up by a six-year-old kid.

That being said, I *would* like to abolish certain things prominent in society. What I want is, in essence, a critical thinking, rational society, which comes to its conclusions about their system of beliefs and opinions by themselves. To me, anything that challenges rationality ought to be tossed aside.

The part I've been struggling with, though, is antitheism. In the neologistic sense, it's essentially wanting to throw religion in the recycle bin -- but to do so in the state we are now is to restrict thought, which goes against my basic principle of thinking for one's self.

I suppose, in the most basic contexts, antitheism can merely mean disagreeing with religion, which I do, so I suppose I still am one -- but the newfangled label created by guys like Dawkins and Hitchens are something I'd like to avoid.

This probably only adds further confusion, though....

Wow interesting stuff, although I did prefer that political compass thing someone (may have been Lexicaholic) posted a while back.

In case any one cares, I was:

3PC.NET:

1) Green Party 83%
2) Reform Party 67%
3) Democratic Party 61%
4) Natural Law Party 50%
5) Libertarian Party 44%
6) Constitution Party 33%
7) Republican Party 28%

Ideology selector:

My #1 is:Radical (looks about 75%!)
My #2 is:Liberal (nearly as much)
My #3 is:Third Way (half as much)
My #4 is:Left-libertarian (a tiny bit)
My #5 is:Centrist (zero)
My #6 is:Neoconservative (zero)
My #7 is:Libertarian (zero)
My #8 is:Paleo-libertarian (zero)
My #9 is:Conservative (zero)
My #10 is:Paleoconservative (zero)
