Bash GM. I demand outrage about their tax rate from anyone who has ever said anything about GE's tax rate being too low, or taxes being too low in general.

I demand angry letters to Obama about letting GM freeload off of the backs of Americans.

More outrage!!!!

It makes a difference because Obama is going to try and use GM's success as part of his reelection campaign.

Life is like radiation. A uniquely damaging event. Perhaps I will live another thirty years. Perhaps I will die tomorrow. But I have no regrets. I was sometimes forced to make difficult choices. But enough is enough. As Vladimir would say, you can only die once, make sure it is worth it.

GM is currently exempt from paying any taxes. That's so the money can instead go into the Union pension fund. Investors in GM lost everything in the bankruptcy, but the Unions were protected by a special bailout.

Debt holders are always paid out before equity holders. Bankruptcy 101.

And so the money can go to the union workers in profit-sharing checks. While the non-union workers get theirs cut drastically.

I'm just tired of people saying companies like GE, who pay over 20% taxes, don't pay enough, and they can afford to pay more, but it's ok for GM to get a tax refund. If lower taxes are good for GM, why do liberals insist that high taxes don't hurt corporations?
