I think the world should switch to a metallic commodity standard, where every nation agrees to switch to only coining money in gold, silver, copper, and lead (or alternatively zinc). Banknotes, such as greenbacks, should also be abolished.
Also one does not have to resort to carrying a coin purse due to modern debit cards, so bank notes' convenience is irrelevant.

also one could use none coin metals as money, seeing as the value is a commodity standard.
