I have some questions about the CSA constitution.

1.) It is nearly identical to the US constitution; so how was it a confederacy?
2.) Why did it prohibit the importation of slaves, when their economy was slave based?
3.) Why didn't they adopt a constitution more similar to the articles of confederation?

I don't understand. Your timeline seems to be a bit off.

The Constitution of the Confederate States of America, was adopted on March 11, 1861.

Not at all, Confederates were the bad guys, end of story, that's all you need to know, don't question anything, ever.

They changed term limits, thats it.

They had enough slaves born there to let them breed here.

3.) Why didn't they adopt a constitution more similar to the articles of confederation?

I have no clue, they should have.

Than it wasn't a confederacy, it was a federation.
2.) Why did it prohibit the importation of slaves, when their economy was slave based?

They had enough slaves born there to let them breed here.

1.) That is debatable
2.) That does not explain why they banned importation of slaves; it just explains how they could.
3.) Why didn't they adopt a constitution more similar to the articles of confederation?

I agree.
