You believe people can be "property" and owned by other people.

A fetus is property of the woman, a child's financial actions are too. That's not slavery.

I saw your profile, saw your position on abortion (PRO) and I was totally like WTF happened?

I think its silly. This is what 14 year olds do with their politics. He just changed literally everything he fought tooth and nail for just days ago to something completely opposite.

My political views haven't changed in years and when they do they do it very gradually. It took me 2.5 years to change my views on GW Bush and that was the only view I've changed recently.

It is hard to believe.

Actually my views did not change much. I am still against abortion, but think it should be legal. I am still for the death penalty, but due to the fact it is dysfunctional I think it needs to be suspended until it is changed.

So really, my views did not change, but how I thought the views should be handled have.

Given your profile pic, I think you're actually pulling a Mitt Romney.
It is odd when one's capacity for compassion is measured not in what he is willing to do by his own time, effort, and property, but what he will force others to do with their own property instead.

I'm stating that we grant positive rights, eg: welfare, education, socialized health care benefits to people, which essentially means that people are forced to pay with them through the use of taxes. Since the taxes are collected through work, it is essentially a form of using other people's bodies as property to benefit others.

DK, why don't you support Universal Health Care if all the facts are on its side?

I'm actually in favor of universal health care, but not single payer health care.

And no, the facts aren't on single-payer health care side.

Worst case scenario and I would agree here.

Basically bluesteel's entire argument in your debate on the single-payer healthcare system. Btw, bluesteel is an economics major so he knows his stuff.

Three things,

1) I know much more about the facts and framework of Single-Payer than I did then

2) I did a lousy job refuting the rationing point (which I could do better now) and the Smart Card argument (which I have changed). Plus, I didn't know about framing the debate then

3) Bluesteel is a heck of a good debater, his win percentage is over 30 points higher than mine.

Do you mind re-refuting all of bluesteel's points. It could take awhile so I could debate you on the issue later on at some point. Right now I only have 2 more weeks of class, so after that.

It's one thing to change places in the political graph. It's another to have a complete reversal looking suspiciously like a mirror image of the previous graph (meaning the same set of questions got the EXACT opposite answers in terms of strength of belief.)
