I am predicting that there will be full marijuana legalization by the year 2022. based on the fact that more and more young people are doing it and when more and more people start supporting something they become a demographic and once you have a demographic well someone has to pander to them right?

the graph on the bottom of that source is for marijuana users admitted to facilitys so that only really measures how many people were caught and there mom or a judge forced them to go. not actual users.

ok well the gateway drug theory is completely unfounded ok I've got a statistic for you 100% of rapists started out giving hugs so we should outlaw hugging. you cannot compare hard drug use to marijuana.

If trends like this continue throughout the country (which no doubt they are) the "stoner" demographic will be a political powerhouse. the only roadblock in this would be if that stuffed shirt romney gets elected because his lobbyists don't like marijuana.

Good deal, though I'm sure Rick Santorum's and Bill Orielly aren't too happy with you.

I agree.

Mandatory Rehabilitation costs much less than incarceration. Incarceration costs $20-40K, which the former costs about $2-3K, and is also about twice as effective as getting drugs off the streets. Also attach a tax to drugs, so that we collect more revenue.

I think that drug decriminalization for all drugs would be a more preferable route initially.

You think mandatory rehabilitation is the result of legalizing? Pro-tip, when the consequence has the word mandatory in it, its not legalization.

ideally full legal regulated sale and taxation of all substances is what I'm hoping for. and a complete or near completes dissolving of the idea. considering it's unconstitutional to arrest people before they commit a crime.

True. America's old values actually cause more harm than good in the realm of drug use, sex, and race.

Oh yeah, our old tradition is so oppressive. I forgot that I came into existence at 35 years old. I was never 16. Lol.
