When Medicare & SSI was first put into place, the average America did not live long enough to collect. Now the average life expectancy is 78.7.

Who here thinks we should raise the age from 65 to 80?

I think 72 is the oldest.

Make people pay more into the system, by that I mean people who aren't taxed over the $90K limit. Raise that ceiling. Also, a lockbox like Al Gore suggested sounds like a good idea.

It should be transitioned to a pension system.

Instead of being funded by the current workforce it's funded by the the benificiary, or their immediate families in the case of SSID

This would make it easier to eliminate
