Watch how that one Libyan is just standing there smoking a cigarette while the CNN reporters nearly abandon their camera woman. What a bunch of cowards.

If I was there as a combatant I'd shoot back at them. If I were a reporter, responsible for the safety of my crew, I would do what I was sent there to do-film the fight-and if we had to leave I wouldn't get into the car until I knew the rest of my crew were in first.

I suppose I'd find cover first and get accountability of everyone before I do any of that though. These jack a$ses just hopped in the car and started driving off w/o their camera woman.

and because they botched the second half of what you said you'd do, that makes the entire network cowardly?

if they are cowardly, then what do you call the other networks who didnt have reporters in there to begin with?

The head line was a jab at CNN, because CNN gets in line with every other news network whenever we use military force to solve our problems. There are some brave combat reporters out there that I'd go with into a war zone any time, but these guys in the video are complete cowards and have no business doing combat reporting.

This really doesn't have anything to do with other news networks, it is mostly concerning the reporters in these videos.

I'm not sure what this has to do with CNN but that was pretty pathetic. Of course, I'd also freak but I'd also be covered in a healthy dose of piss.

When I watch fox news and they are getting bombed they act fairly calm and slowly walk to cover...

I've never been in combat (beyond using public transport), have any of the posters thus far?

If not, this is probably pretty offensive to, i) those who fared well in such situations, because it trivializes their valor, ii) those who didn't, as it fails to account for the horror they experienced.

Have you served in the U.S armed forces at front lines?

Ever heard how people say that in a gunfight they'd subdue the attacker, but in reality 100% of untrained people flee with no hesitation whatsoever?

I did my four years in the Marine Corps. My two deployments weren't to Afghanistan though, so I havn't been on the "front lines."

You don't need to get shot at to recognize cowardice when you see it. Its one thing to run away when it is just you, but it is an entirely different story to leave a co-worker or team mate behind because you're too busy running away.

Fair 'nuff. 'Musta been a pretty big change for an 18 year old. Don't think I could have done something like that at that age.
