Facebook posts land Marine vet in mental ward

"US police reportedly detained a Marine Corps veteran in a mental hospital over Facebook posts, triggering outrage in the online community. Brandon J. Raub claimed the FBI was concerned about his "calling for the arrest of government officials."
Raub, 26, is now being held in the John Randolph Behavioral Health psychiatric ward. In an online interview with local media, Raub's mother reported that her son's hearing is due to take place later on Monday. Raub claimed in a phone interview that he was brought to the ward against his will.

FBI and Secret Service officials said that Raub wasn't arrested on specific charges, and declined to comment further, local newspaper the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported. Police officials allege they were only tasked with transporting Raub, and had no hand in his being interred in a mental health institution.

Raub was confronted by FBI agents at his home on Thursday and taken away in handcuffs. He was then reportedly questioned over several incendiary Facebook posts he made. "They were concerned about me calling for the arrest of government officials," Raub said."

Parkinson's Sufferer Arrested for ‘Not Smiling' at Olympic Men's Cycling Race

"Mark Worsfold, 54, a martial-arts trainer who suffers from Parkinson's disease, wants a "letter of exoneration" after what he claims was a gross over-reaction on the part of Surrey Police.

Worsfold explains, "I was sitting minding my own business…Before I knew anything the police grabbed me off this seven-foot wall, threw me to the floor and cuffed me so all I saw of the cycle race was between the feet of people from the pavement."
Due to his degenerative disorder, Worsfold says his face can seem expressionless.

According to the Guardian, Worsfold says Surrey police "questioned him about his demeanor and why he had not been seen to be visibly enjoying the event." They arrested him on charges of "breach of the peace" saying Worsfold's behavior posed a "caused concern."

Do not ignore these atrocities. Some day you might be arrested too for smiling or writing a Facebook post.

I read both of the stories and they are certainly disgusting on the part of the government. This is why neoconservatives and state socialists are no longer taken seriously.

In regards to the Marine: military gives up many first amendment rights when they join the military. Technically you aren't even allowed to say anything bad about Obama, but nobody will do anything about it unless you start using your membership in the military for political gain. Every Marine has been to the classes, we all know what is going to happen if we post stupid stuff on Facebook.

That's why if you look at my Facebook you won't see anything anti-administration.

He was a veteran. You don't permanently give up your first amendment rights when you join the military.

He's actually still in the Marine Corps. He isn't on active duty anymore, but he is still serving two years of Inactive Reserve time. When you sign up you sign up for four years active, and four years inactive reserves.

Oh, I didn't realize that. However, putting him in a mental institution and then trying to pretend like it never happened is obviously not the correct course of action.

I am not making a case for anything, the focus here is the two stories I posted. The thread title is just a thread title. If you wanna see me make a case for Illuminati/NWO, then go look at my debates.

Worsfold had a number of knives visible on his person, with a group of protestors, in the middle of the major Olympic Cycling race. Rubber knives dont look rubber from a distance, and when he was arrested he was restrained and taken to the prison. When the knives were discovered to be fake, he was let go. The idea that he was arrested for not smiling comes from the VICTIM and not the police, in a statement of jest (clear in source), and it explicitly says how:

"Surrey police has received a letter from the man in which he has said that he 'fully understands and appreciates the action taken by officers'. He has also said that he 'appreciated and thanked both the arresting officers for their apologies and explanations' following his release."

Which is why I don't trust infowars anymore than I trust the nazi party for all the information.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to be Gay, he'll positively influence the GDP.
