So Im currently in an internship-study program in DC and of course Im taking the program in international affairs. For one of my projects I need to advocate a policy proposal in foreign policy. I would like to do something ridiculous, any ideas?

So far I have: US-Euro military annexation of the Saharan Desert in order to create massive solar and wind power stations.

military strikes against heavily producing factories and manufacturing plants to combat pollution

Heavy bombing of India, China, and Bangladesh to control population growth.

Joint US-North Korean military operation against South Korea so that when they are defeated the US could then turn on North Korea, annex all of Korea, and return it to Japanese authority

Re-establish military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. Partition both into regions, and institute government tantamount to US state structure with American leaders. Establish that US possession of said territories is internationally recognized, and establish a rule of law to be enforced by the US military. Develop infrastructure in various ways necessary to facilitate the development of a a productive (American) state and begin to collect tax dollars. Lease oil wells to international oil companies, require royalty payments, etc. to recoup initial investment cost. Stipulate that the United States will retain sovereign control of said regions for 100 years, much like Britain did with Hong Kong. After 100 years, territory may decide wether or not remain active part of the United States.

By that time, the institutional memory of democracy should be established, and cultural pangs of resistance quashed by coca-cola and pornography. McDonalds too.

1. Give each recognized country a nuclear bomb, with a type of identifier in the radiation. If that bomb is ever used all other countries get to blast theirs off at that one country.

2. How about this one? Stop covert diplomatic activities and have an open, honest, and transparent dialog with counties rather than all this manipulation, rumor mongering, etc that was exposed by wiki leaks.

3. Join the side of Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba. Oh, how about just Russia. Align with them on all world politic matters.

4. Lastly, just exit the world community, including all trade agreements and defense agreements. Use capitalism to define who and how to deal with. IE: sell arms to all countries who has money to buy them.
