Taggart should take him up on that. I'd pay per view.
Lawrence is an absolute joke.

If anyone is idiotic enough to defend MSNBC on this one, its worth noting that Tagg almost immediately apologized for his remarks after he made them to the president himself.

I don't like Lawrence O'Donnell...he makes himself sound wrong or like he's lying, even when he's right. However....the notion that this makes him or MSNBC as bad as FOX News is batsh!t of the highest repulsive order. I'd take this any day to people feigning the appearance of serious reporters and propagating falsities as though they were true....the same news organization that has been sued more than any other for fraudulent information and then has the audacity to call itself "fair and balanced."

MSNBC is miles away from FOX, they both have equal bias, but one is WAY better at justifying it than the other.

False. Both are poorly produced fodder nonsense and trash which is borderline
tabloid news for the masses. Call it what it is. They are both entertainment factors and nothing more. (idiots)

Do you realize with all your "heroic" moderation, there are NO Republicans on this board that are willing to reciprocate? Do you know that when a Republican says or does something ridiculous, the Libertarians and Conservatives here will not indict them? Do you understand that for every single comment you make intended to Castigate a Democrat, Liberal or their respective constituents, you're only augmenting the strength of an already disproportionate majority?

Stop attacking being a liberal that does nothing but attack other Liberals.

Tagg's original comment was obviously a joke. Imagine if anyone took everything Jon Stewart says seriously. It really isn't tough to figure out.

I think Mr. O'Donnell will be okay once he grows up. His parents just need to pay closer attention and give him some adult guidance.

Generalizations to all of MSNBC from this one incident are not justified. They are, however, nuts based on their overall behavior.

Do you realize with all your "heroic" moderation, there are NO Republicans on this board that are willing to reciprocate?

I dont give two sh*ts if they reciprocate or not ike because I dont base my criticism of liberals or democrats solely on how frequently other people criticize their own party. Most people rarely criticize their own party because people really like the party they vote for (shocking I know) but to me bullsh*t from conservatives has the same exact taste as bullsh*t from liberals, and im not going to exempt liberals from bullsh*t just because im one of them too. You shouldnt exempt liberals from their crap either ike because exempting bullsh*t from ones own party simply because it is coming from your party is one of the biggest problems that this country has with politics.....

Do you know that when a Republican says or does something ridiculous, the Libertarians and Conservatives here will not indict them?

Are you out of your mind? Ron-Paul is in another thread right now sh*tting on a Republican for his comments on abortion, and several other libertarians are sh*tting on the same Republican too.
http://www.debate.org...

Do you understand that for every single comment you make intended to Castigate a Democrat, Liberal or their respective constituents, you're only augmenting the strength of an already disproportionate majority?

I dont criticize liberals or democrats to try to strike some sort of balance in this imaginary political sphere or to give a majority more power over a minority or whatever the hell youre implying. If a liberal or a democrat f*cks up like they did here, and I think they are being a dumba**, then I will criticize them for acting like a dumba**.

Stop being a liberal that does nothing but attack other Liberals.

Ike, I will attack anyone, any pundit, or any politician I feel is being an idiot, and Im not going to exempt some people from criticism just because they are liberal, thats what partisan hacks do (As you would know). I call it like I see it, and I apologize if I appear be going on a bit of a streak against Liberals (even though right now Im sh*tting on the GOP in another thread), but let me make one thing abundantly clear...

As the host of The Weekly Stupid, I have trained myself to not look over any form of stupid just because it comes from people I like. Therefore when I see stupidity, I dont see a label that says where it was made or who made it, all I see is stupidity. Therefore I will treat stupidity as stupidity, regardless of where it came from, and you should do the same, and so should everyone else, but im not going to choose to NOT be critical of my own party from time to time for being stupid simply because nobody else is.......... Because thats just stupid.

What the f*ck is wrong with attacking your own ideology when it deserves a little attacking? I never took up an oath to defend my ideology, or to protect it whenever it comes in harms way, or swear an oath of allegiance to it either in good times and in bad times. Hell I was a moderate Republican 4 years ago who would have happily voted for McCain had Hillary Clinton and Obama not been running, and it was only shortly after the election did I become more liberal. I have not, nor have I ever been, nor ever will be, a pure liberal, so stop treating me like I am ike

What tag said wasn't all that bad, cmon, he was asked how does it make you feel to have Obama call your Dad a liar, I think "It makes me feel like taking a swing at him" is a good answer. It's not like he said he would really like to, it's just how it makes him feel, and that was the question. People tried to make a mountain out of a molehill, there was nothing whatsoever wrong with what tag said.

Hell, I'd go to prison every week if "feeling" like punching Obama was a crime, for the last couple years I've wanted to give him a swirly every time I saw him, and wanted to punch him about half the time, the only way to avoid it is to stop watching the news and I'm a news junky.

Really?
I can't speak for him, so I will speak for myself.
On the boards, I don't do this much (as following threads is difficult with three jobs), but in my personal life I do the same.

I am oppossed to gay marriage equality, so are religious zealots. However, I argue with them (I even attempted to find them at Gay Pride) because their religious view should have no significant bearing on their political view.

I am opposssed to Voter ID in MN, so are others. I challenge them on Facebook all the time for saying there is no evidence of fraud. Fraud is difficult to ascertain, even more so when it is confidential. I challenge them on their saying there is no fraud by offering them evidence of voters disappearing after elections.

I can challenge others' logic and facts, even if I agree with them. This does not diminish my committment to any issue. Furthermore, one should not get so caught up in ideology that you embrace a contradictory issue.

And as far as aiding those that agree with you, well, forcing them to have better evidence and reasoning is helping them, isn't it?
By replacing a weak argument with a strong one, it helps the cause. By snuffing out ideological hypocrisy and pettyness, it bolsters the ideology's reputation.
Ike, don't you get flack for coming to the aid of Obama every time; people expect it. You lose credibility before you speak. I haven't seen that with imabench.

I say we are doing our respective causes a service by keeping our integrity.
